Barbara & Miah Kattman

Studio 4-19

Miah and Barbara enjoy the art of the hunt - thrifting, creating and curating unique objects. They have a special appreciation for items that have somehow been left behind but can be brought back to life and loved once again. Vintage items have a sense of nostalgia that people are drawn to. When picking through antique malls and shops, they often wonder about the history of treasured items. Although they will never know the story of many of the pieces they find, they know they can create a new chapter for special pieces that other people will enjoy.

Barbara and Miah have a carefully curated collection of fine objects that they look forward to sharing with visitors at Open Studios and their booth at Salvage Angel in Norwood. They are obsessed with nauticals, florals, original artwork, interesting glass wear, collectibles and more! The hunt is fun, but finding new homes for vintage goods is what drives their passion. They love the mission of repurposing, keeping things out of the land fill and giving these treasures a new life. You might find them painting furniture, making jewelry pieces with a statement, arranging plants, knitting, creating art & more!

Having space in the Holliston Mill provides them an outlet to create. They enjoyed bringing their passion to visitors at Open Studios so much that they opened a booth at Salvage Angel in Norwood where you can find their unique items year-round. Working as a mother-daughter duo in real estate for 23 years has taught them to work together despite different styles and interests! We hope you will share our enjoyment too!
